Ongoing development continues to build in areas vulnerable to natural hazards. Further, vulnerability to natural hazards is increasing due to complex interdependencies that are being incorporated into the built environment at an exponential rate. Society is steadily becoming less resilient to natural hazards.

Adaption

The built environment/ construction sector needs to simultaneously improve productivity , decrease environmental impact, improve resilience and build in adaption to climate change. We believe these opportunities go hand in hand.
